Can I take Synthroid with my morning coffee? I usually drink coffee right after taking my pill.

It is best to wait at least 30 to 60 minutes after taking Synthroid before consuming coffee or any food. Coffee can interfere with the absorption of the medication, reducing its effectiveness. To maximize absorption, take Synthroid first thing in the morning with a full glass of water on an empty stomach. If timing is an issue, you can discuss alternative schedules with your doctor.
