⚠️ Side effects

The common ones are headache, which is the most frequent complaint and often related to dehydration, nausea, nervousness, dry mouth, reduced appetite and difficulty sleeping if taken too late. Most are mild and settle.

The interaction that catches people out most often is with hormonal contraception: modafinil speeds its breakdown and can make the pill, patch, ring or implant unreliable during treatment and for a month after.
